Whitney was born in Hawaii where she learned to swim before she could walk. She graduated from the US Coast Guard Academy, where she went on to serve on 3 ships, traveling all over the world, and currently is assigned to Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington DC. She has completed 5 half-Ironman races and one full Ironman. After being stationed on Oahu she shifted her passion to Mountain Biking and Xterra racing, completing one Xterra last year. |
