		<description>Melanie,

Thanks for the wonderful advice for a Xterra event. I'm preparing for a Xterra Duathlon in July a 3 mile run, 14 mile bike, and 5 mile run. I've never entered in any type of running or mountain bike event before. My question is that a have a 8 week beginner duathlon workout by inspiration what percentage should I hit the trail for both the run and bike? Also since it has been a wet winter and spring how can I train off the trail since I don't want to ruin them?

Thanks'
